Sheet-Forming Solution Mapping with FormingFX

FormingFX application maps sheet-forming effects such as thickness variation and plastic strains from a forming analysis (for example, from third party or in-house software) onto an Abaqus finite element model.

The shell thickness and effective plastic strain distributions are initialized in the Abaqus model based on this mapping. FormingFX can be run as a stand-alone application or from within Abaqus/CAE.
